DS is 15mths old and has been walking since he was 9 mths old. I have noticed that he walks with his right foot a little inwards. I spoke to his ped and he said we should wait until his 18mths check up. I would appreciate if you could share your experiences with me regarding this. I am wondering if i should take him to a specialist to get him evalutated. He is otherwise doing fine, waking, running, climbing etc.
Thanks

I haven't had any experince with kids with this, but I used to have a boyfriend who was pigeon toed, and he was an awesome athlete and a runner and all kinds of stuff and so it didn't bother him any. I guess depending on the severity it really isnt' a problem. I hope all is well!

I'm not trying to scare you but it might be something you should follow up on. My brother actually had that when he was a kid. I can't remember which foot it was but he always walked with one a little inwards as well. When he got a little older it seemed get better so they just ignored it. Last year, he's 26 now, the ankle started to act up on him and it was really painful. He finally got in to see a specialist and they told him that it should have been taken care of along time ago and if he hadn't gotten it checked when he did, there was a chance his ankle would buckle right out from under him one day. He now has to wear inserts in his shoes probably for the rest of his life.
It could be your son has nothing like my brother had but it would be a good thing to keep checking. He could have had his fixed ages ago and avoided the inserts as well as alot of pain.
