Anyone else have a baby this age with so few teeth. I know that they all go at their own pace, but she got these two at about 7 months and since then...nothing. I think DS had about 8 teeth by this age. My little girl is dying to eat more table food, but just can't.

Well, my baby is 7 mos and she is just now getting in her first two, so maybe she will be like your little one. I have heard that is normal and varies for times teeth come in as much as hair and eye color vary. Good Luck.

My DD is almost 12 months old and only has two teeth. She will be 1 year on 2-17-06! The top two are trying to come in they have been bothering her for about 2 months. The bottom two did the same thing. She got those when she was 7 months, just like your DD.
My DD eats everything though, it hasn't slowed her down. She loves club crackers, bagels, mac n' cheese, all soft cooked veggies, peices of homemade bread, and the list goes on. Her Dr said as long as it was soft it was fine. I cut everything up small for her and she does great with it. She chews even though she only has two teeth.
The worse part about it my hubby's grandmother is so concerned about it. She keeps bugging me about it. My nephew is 7 weeks older then my DD and has 8 teeth and is getting his molars. My father in-law who is a dentist says she will get them when she gets them.
Oh yeah, my DD favourite is mashed potatoes with mashed baby carrots butter and a little milk or sour cream.

I don't think it's a big deal, they get them when they get them. DS had his first two teeth start coming through at 2 1/2 months, and now at 7 months, he has them, but has no other signs of any more coming any time soon. I have heard it depends on when the parents got their teeth, but I am not sure that is true. I didnt' get mine to really late, and actually didnt' lose my last baby tooth until I was 16!

Thanks you guys! DD too eats everything under the sun and loves those potatoes. I was eating a taquito yesterday and DD was beside herself because she couldn't share. Guess I'll just wait on those teeth. I do like the little pink gummy grins :)

My DD got her first two teeth at 9 months...is going to be one year old 2-16-06 and has only gotten 1 more tooth on the bottom and 1/2 tooth on the top...3 on the bottom looks funny...especially since only one is half way in on the top...my DD want to eat everything too...but just can't yet...little by little I give her crackers and such and muffins..anything soft...eggs...potatoes..I'm sure her teeth will come in when they are good and ready!!!

kiera-
i am right here with you/ only 2 teeth so far. he thinks that he is a lumber jack or something with the amount of hearty food that he wants to eat, so i spend A LOT of time cuttng or mashing food.
Hope all is well with you!
