Hello. I had a colonoscopy Monday at 12:00. It has been over 24 hours since, and I am wondering how long I go before eating normal, or doing any house work? I had 2 biopsys. They gave my mother who stayed and drove me home, my post care sheet, but, she lost it  and I am wondering if anyone can help me out here.
Thanks!

I think you are fine to resume your regular routine. I ate something on the way home from the procedure and other than being sleepy, I resumed my activities the next day. Mostly, don't want to do anything like driving, cooking, signing legal documents until the versed, etc has worn off. If you have any concerns, call the DR....he/she has heard the question before.
Good luck

Well thanks Dave. Did you have any biopsy's done? They did a biopsy on me, and I was thinking that if the test was normal and no biopsy's, resume next day, but, if biopsy or tissue remove, thought might be longer?

Wow, wish I had thought of that....might have milked a whole week out of the deal! :) Yep, I had 2 polyps removed for biopsy and went back to work the next day and resumed my normal diet, also.
Hope this helps.

I have stopped by a Burger King on the way home from a c'scopy test and not skimped on my meal. No ill effects.
By all means call a doc about Ibuprofen after a biopsy but IIRC it does not reduce clotting the same as ASA(Aspirin) does.
