Thanks Toni Sponsor neckpatient 01-29-2006, 07:26 AM Radiculopathy: Irritation of the nerve root. Where nerve root exits the spinal cord. Easier to understand where the nerve branches (TREE BRANCHES) off the spinal cord (TREE TRUNK) . Can cause pain down arms or legs all the way down to the nerve end. Myopathy:a myopathy is a neuromuscular disease in which the muscle fibers dysfunction for any one of many reasons, resulting in muscular weakness I think you really mean: Myelopathy = myelopathy is a form of spinal cord injury , like compression or distortion of the cord. can cause dyfunction like gait disturbances, dropping things, numbness, etc. Neuropathy is a disease of the peripheral nervous system. Neuropathic pain is usually perceived as a steady burning and/or "pins and needles" and/or "electric shock" sensations |
