Hiya, I am Canadian and in a couple of months I will be moving to the states (Indiana to be exact). I know that the healthcare there isnt as good as it is here so Im curious as to expenses. I was told if I were to go with insurance to go for PPO rather than HMO. A friend said that PPO guarentees you can see any doctor. But, thats not what I want to know. What I want to know is how much is it there to have a baby. Also, what is the cost for tubal ligation. Im currently on birth control but oftentimes it makes me sick hence why Im curious. I just need an idea as to what Im looking at lol. Thanks for all the help.

Suggest you call Anthem (Blue Cross) in Indianapolis and ask them the questions. Be sure to tell them you are a citizen of Canada. This will give you an idea of what is avilable when you do move.
