View Full Version : Major tremors from Paxil?

I was introduced to paxil one month ago with 20mg daily. I've just been upped to 30mg 2 days ago. However for the last week I've been having tremors and shaking. Yesterday was so bad, I could barely use my legs and couldn't go to work. Sleeping is impossible. I'm assuming this is probably a side effect of the medication. But Im wondering if anyone else has experienced this side effect and if it goes away, or should I wait a few more days, and call my doctor if it doesn't stop?

i take 50mg of paxil and i have shaking but it is as a result of my anxiety. do you have anxiety? did you shake before the paxil? the worst side effect i've found so far is the sweating.....yuck

hi - i would call the doc today. while these meds can cause those symptoms, it sounds like your's is very severe. it's always best to talk to your doc about any unwanted effects.
hope it clears up soon.

I have taken as much as 60 mg. of Paxil per day, but haven't experienced these effects. I would certainly let your doctor know what's going on.
