Last week on Martin Luther king day i went snowboarding and it was completely icy...anyways at one point i fell on my butt and slid down the mt about 200 yards...i didn't feel initial pain and even the next day but two days later i had a little swelling around my tailbone and just to the left side of it. Anyways the pain is still lingering, not as bad as before but that little bit of swelling is still there and it's just to the left like almost in my left butt cheek, anyways i was wondering if i should be really worried about this or just let time heal it..thanks in advance for your opinions...kinda worried about it but seems like it's goin away just want to make sure that lump isn't something really bad...thanks again

Hi, I think I would go to the DR.'s just to be on the safe side. There really is no way to know for sure without a professional opinion and maybe an x-ray. Sounds like you were very lucky thats all that you hurt. Good luck !!!

Back in 2001, I fell on my butt on some ice. It only hurt a little, then went away. I waited a while to go to the doctors. When I FINALLY got a diagnosis, they told me I had fractured my vertabrae. I went through 4 doctors, a chiropractor, and physical therapy. Nothing helped me. Now, 4 years later, I'm still in immense pain. If I were you, I wouldn't take any chances. Go to the doctor. You don't wanna pay for it later.
