HI, just wondering if anyone here has mav? I have been diagnosed with this and it is really causing me daily trouble. If anyone responds could you tell me if you have:
flickering in vision, sometimes in middle sometimes in the periphery
shimmering in distance
flashes of light, colored or sometimes bright white
increased floaters/flecks in vision
light sensitivity
off balance/heavy headed
chronic neck tension and back of head pain, I even have a constant pain in right head above/behind ear where area feels tender to touch
sometimes tingling in right side of face
blurred vision/distortion, cant tolerate any bright light or fluorescent lights, computers etc.

This is a daily ongoing battle for me, it distorts reading anything etc. I have had numerous eye tests etc and everything checks out, diagnosed with MAV, I also have alot of false senses of motion, rocking, swaying, inner ears are ok according to tests.

Please help, I am driving myself nuts over this and it has been going on for 2 years.

Hi,
MAV is migraine associated vertigo, its a long process to explain but you can look it up on the web, basically its the conditon where you can have all of the symptoms of a migraine but not get the headache or sometimes you do get it, its complicated and more and more people are getting this diagnosis, with you having alot of these symptoms maybe its a place for you to start when talking to your physician. Hope this helps a little, look it up, its interesting.
Kim
