Hi, I am new to this forum. I got put onto this through a bodybuilding forum. I am on medication for depression, which combined with lifestyle, have put allot of weight on me. Before Christmas I was doing fine, although over weight I trained and was sturdy. But I got an injury to my knee and have stopped training, which has led to extra weight gain. The injury combined with the weather has got me down. Exercise was important for me to lift my mood. I have been going for walks and using stretches to try and fix my tendonitis in my knee. I have been told to go swimming but it seems a big effort to go and do. Any body got any motivation recommendations?

If you can make it to a good gym, just being around people that are doing great in their training is a motivation. When you see what others are accomplishing, it'll push you to accomplish the same.

You just have to be realistic with the results from your training. Things do take time but each time you go, your benefiting yourself and your future. Being healthy is extremely important, you live a better, happier life.

Alot of motivation is 'internal' within yourself I believe. You have to believe in yourself and have the drive to succeed. Keep your training within a reasonable schedule that you can keep and make it into a routine. Be 'social' at the gym and what I mean by that is if you don't feel confortable there, it's not going to benefit you as much. Talking to others makes it a more friendly place.

When you decide to start training, incorporate healthy eating (intake) also, which is required for good success in your training. Keep at it and best of luck to you!!!! You can do it...... :)
