Is the puss actually coming out of your penis? If so, you could have an std or a urethral infection. Stds or infections which cause symptoms like that are usually easily cured with antiobiotics, but it requires a trip to the doc.

Have you had unprotected sex recently? Is the puss coming from an open sore or anything?

could it be ordinary smegma, and it is just the first time you're seeing it?
if it is, you should wash with water, about once a day, to keep it clean.

you wash. they go away. how long does it take them to come back?
if it is under two days, you probably have a yeast infection. monistat, or anything for womens' yeast, will work fine on your penis. it costs about $16. if you have a partner, they will likely need it too.

you don't have to ask for it, it is on the shelf. nobody would think it was for you.
you apply the cream to the head and inner foreskin, as it directs you to on the tube.
I am guessing that you have a yeast infection. you may not. you may just produce large amounts of smegma. in that case, all you can do is wash frequently.
