I'm on the sugar pills in my first month of taking Yasmin. I've bloated up a little and don't want to do this anymore.
Does the bloat calm down, or should I just stop it altogether now?
Help.
Thanks.

some pills just do that to people. Ortho Tricyclen Lo made me bloated/retain water the week before the placebos. I would gain a good 5 pounds just in water. Ugh, it made me feel awful! It really isnt one of those things that goes away with time (like, say, spotting would go away after a couple monts).
After OTC Lo, I switched to Mircette, and I felt great. no more bloating.
(I eventually had to stop the Mircette too because it made my blood pressure too high.. I now have a Paragard IUD, it has no hormones, and I'm loving it).

Heard Yasmon caused a lot of side effects like that. I was on allesse and had nothing. All the people who started on Yasmen switched.

Give it a chance. You've only been on it a month. It takes 3-6 months for a woman's body to become accustomed to a given pill.
