So after a regular vaginal birth I know everything must have gotten stretched out down there. How long does it take to "shrink back down" or does it!?!?!?! I have heard people say that sex after a baby is much more "roomy" and alot less enjoyable for the man? Does anyone know any better than me. I am 4 weeks postpartum and very curious and nervous if I will be the same down there!

alot of people say that it is not the same, and things are a bit more roomy, but for me and I am sure there are others lol, I feel like I have gone back to normal, maybe not right away, but if you do your kegel exercises then you go back quicker then if you don't. sex here is not really any different then before babies, I have a 5 yr old and a 6 month old. good luck

I didn't really go back to normal and that is a good thing, because sex hurt sometimes before I had children and now I find I enjoy it a lot more. My husband said there is some difference, but I think he likes sex more too now because I'm not always going "ouch, ouch." Maybe it's just me, but I am a lot more in tune with my body now too and find sex is lots better AFTER children (now if only we could find the time...)

I have the opposite problem. I had so many stitches, that I swear she stitched me up much tighter. It hurts like !@#$ to have sex still!

To me I feel roomier, all though my husband claims there is no difference. I am in the same boat as summertyme, it is also a welcome change for me as it is not as painful now. I wouldn't worry about it too much. I really don't think it would be less enjoyable for the man...most men are just glad to have sex! Kegal's are definitely a great thing to do to tone up down there.

Thank you so much ladies for all of your replies! I hope I go back to normal. I just feel like I am stretched out down there. I guess it has only been 4 weeks so maybe it just needs more time. I hope. After reading your posts I don't know what is worse to tight or to loose!!! Probably to tight, that just sounds painful! Anyways thanks again ladies!

I'm also finding sex painful and I had a lot of stitches too. Does anyone know if it will get better (I'm nearly 6 months pp) or am I doomed to a painful sex life now?!

Spanish, I am almost six months as well, and just now finding the stitches less painful. I thought I was doomed too, but it seems to be getting better!

Spanish, I'm like Laur77, I thought it would never get better, but now after 6mo, it's better, it only hurts for first few seconds, hopefully that will go away too. It feels soo tight though, but my DH says he doesn't feel it, and that it feels normal.
