I started wellbutrin saturday (last week) I started off at 1 dose as my dr told me. She then wanted me to add the 2nd dose a few days later. I wasn't having any problems with the one dose. But since I started the 2nd dose my ears feel funny. Like only when its real quite I hear a constant sound. Like a ringing. I feel a little nausous (sp) sometimes. I just feel wierd. like my ears are blocked. I don't know.I know I should call my dr and I will, but in the meantime...if I stopped taking the second pill each day without telling her first...is this a huge deal?

Well it wouldn't be a huge deal it wouldn't hurt you to just go back to taking 1 a day but the side effects do usually go away after time and I assume you are taking Wellbutrin SR because of the twice a day dosing so it would not stay in your system for the full 24 hours that is why you need to take two a day. Wellbutrin XL is the only one that you can take just 1 a day. So basically levels of Wellbutrin SR would be going up and down in your system so your mood would not be as stable. If it were me I would try to stick it out. When I first started Wellbutrin XL 150 mg I felt nauseated for several days to a week and it did go away. I also felt like a zombie and just plain weird like you mentioned. All of those side effects went away in about a week.
