the first thing you need to do is actually see your doc for some labs done on the liver.this will tell you alot about overall liver function.you can also have an ultrasound done to actually see the liver.this would show any possible abnormalities going on that the labs don't pick up on til the damage gets to a certain point.these two things would really revael alot about your overall liver functions.I have never really heard about yellowing only at the jawline?and black eyes from actual liver issues.any yellowing would normally show up in the whites of your eyes first.try taking a mirror outside into the actual daylight/this will really reveal any possible yellowing going on.the indoor lighting,no matter how bright,sometimes will not be able to actually pick up any of the more subtle changes in the color.this was the case with my son.as he was going thru liver failure,the jaundice was actually a very late sign,really.and when it finally started I never noticed the slight change in the whites of his eyes even though I had just been talking to him like five minutes before,until we walked outside and I looked at him again to tell him something.wow,it was right there all the time and i didn't even notice it indoors only in the actual light of day.

if you go thru these tests and things appear to be normal,then your liver is probably doing just fine.but I would speak with your doc about those black eyes and the yellow jawline.is there ANY sort of actual yellowing anywhere else on your body,or any unusual bruising?That IS starnge.please let me know what you find out,K? good luck,marcia
