I'm a 22 yrs old student and I've been on effexor for 5 months now and unfortunately i loss my libido! I was wondering if wellbutrin really work to counteract the side effect? and does it affect memory?

Hi, I have been on WB for about five months now. It does not affect libido, at least in my case. However, I does affect weight. It can make you lose weight, usually because of increased energy and activity, gain weight, don't know why, or stay the same, which is fine unless you are trying to lose. In my case I have gained five lbs. and have not been able to make them go away in spite of hours at the gym and on my bicycle and eating only 1200-1500 cal./day. Tomorrow I am calling my doc and going back on Abilify - originally for psychotic conditions but now ok'd for treatment of depression.
