I had stopped taking the pill for a few days (after being on it for a few months) due to the bad side effects, but was planning on going back on yesterday. I was feeling so much better as far as no more unctontrollable appetites, mood swings and breathing easier that I have decided to stay off.
Today I have a BAD headache like nothing I have experienced before. On the webside of the pill I am taking Cyclessa they have an animation program of how the pill I was taking works, and all it does is adjust the levels of hormones released from the brain. The pill doesn't go to your ovaries, but only directly to your brain to do it's thing, then the hormones are released and go to your reproductive organs.
Now I can see why I have had so many side effects. I don't think they have come up with a pill that would do only what it's supposed to do without messing up with other hormones in the glands in your head. The mood swings were like nothing I had either, I ended up lashing out on friends and family and suffering, crying and basically going crazy.
SO...now that I am off that nightmare pill, does anyone know how long I will have this bad migraine? It feels like there's so much pressure my head will burst open. If I walk or move it is even worse, but even as I am sitting here I am saying "ow ow ow" out loud, it is that bad. I took an Asprin, but that's the most medicine I will take...
Thanks for listening...

You know, I've noticed that every time I go on the Sugar pill week, I have this annoying dull headache...could this be the same kinda thing? I didn't have this at first but I've been on the pill for close to a year and for the last few months this is happening. Did you notice a headache during the OFF week too? I've been attributing it to other things and didn't think it was from the pill!

When I stopped taking Yasmin I had migraines for 2 straight weeks. I went to the doctor for it and they said that was normal because of the drop in hormones. I've also always had migraines and headaches the placebo week.

yes i too experienced headaches during the sugar weeks, but I think it's worse now because I just stopped in the middle of a regular hormone week so maybe my brain's getting mixed signals as far as what the hell to do and how much hormone to release and it's sending a message in the form of pain! sorry brain!
