Tyler is 14 months old now! Hard to believe!!!

First Steps is doing an intense eval on Ty to buy more time from the DT and the OT. So far I have only one hour every 2 weeks for the OT and one hour a week for the DT. Its odd beings that Tyler really needs the OT pretty bad. He is now loosing weight because he isn't getting enough nutrients from just his milk. That forced my DH to put baby food in his bottles and make the nipple holes larger. Believe it or not IT WORKED!!! Just as long as we didn't change his nipples (like I tried the other day, I wasen't thinking!!!) he is actually eatting it. lol I was so happy! He had lost 4 lbs in one week and I was so upset. He still isn't making too many noises but he has been trying to mimic when I do rasberries with my toung or clicking my toung. I am so proud! People think I am NUTS when I celebrate "Tyler milestones".(things like him smiling or looking at me for a long period of time) We also got him to wear shoes a little bit tonight....which is a HUGE thing for Tyler and I!!! They are a few sizes too big but...hey he's wearing them. He screamed like a crazy baby while putting them on and after a while he was OK with them. He is also laying still a little better and not crying so much when I change him. YAYS!!! Its really GREAT!!!

I took him for V-Day pics yesterday...Got a little smile out of him but he wasen't gonna give us much. lol We tried SO HARD to get that baby to smile!!! Is there a place I can post pics somewhere on this board?

Anyways...Tyler is comming around a little more. We have been going to a baby storytime group where he can interact with children his age. He hates it but I am going to keep it up. Also am going to start taking him to the mall to play in the play place with other kids. I have done it once, just the other day, and he didn't like it either. Maybe he will come around. Still lots of hand flapping but easing up on the tapping his head bit lately and hopefully for good.

He is getting a little better here lately but boy do we ever have a long way to go! We do, however, have all our lives to do it in...so we are good!

Thanks for listening!

Congrats to you both it'll only get better & better. We all will always have challenges but when we have something to celebrate it makes it that much sweeter. My son rode his bike for the first time by himself the other day and we did the happy happy joy joy dance right there on the street no holds bar I could care less what anyone thinks about stuff like that no one could ruin my or my son's accomplishment.

I'm very happy for you you're doing a fabulous job and so is Tyler
