I have been taking 40 mgs of Paxil for 4 years now. I'm a young healthy 25 year old.

The last 2 years I have had my period maybe 3 times. I am not on birth control or any other medication.

I've been to my gynecologist and everything checked out great.

Has anyone else had a lack of menstruation due to Paxil?

Thanks in advance!

I don't think that I can answer your question, but do want you to know that I am currently reading a book about hormones and what doctors tend to ignore. I had a hysterectomy in June & have been struggling with numerous health issues (one of them being depression). The book does touch upon the connection between hormones (especially estrogen) and the brain chemicals (seretonin, etc.). It is very in-depth....too much to explain here. You may want to try doing an internet search on menstruation/antidepressants. I bet that something will show up! Good luck!
