DS has a bald spot on the back of his head. I just noticed it yesterday and it is completely bald! When do babies start to lose their hair? I didn't think it was this soon, he's 4 months. I don't think its from the way he lays. During the day when I can watch him, I put him on his stomach for naps, so he doesn't get flat headed. At night, he's on his back, but always lays with it to the side. The bald spot is directly in the back.

my ds also, I think it is because, when my ds sleeps, he moves his head from side to side alot, and 6 months of this, wore a blad spot lol, sounds like this to me

A lot of babies have a bald spot on the back of their head. When he sleeps, he may be moving his head back and forth during the night. My son's had his bald spot since shortly after birth! He's six months and I just noticed he's starting to get some peach fuzz there now, yea!

Ava lost her hair in the front of her head right away and it was at it's baldest at 6 weeks. She also lost a ring of hair around the back of her head...it looks like a bald stripe going around the back from ear to ear. I asked our pediatricain at the 4 month visit about hair loss, and he said anything can happen within the first year...they can lose some, none, all, patches of it, it can change color. He told me to not be surprised by anything.

Dd has a bald spot too. The hair is starting to grow back though, and it feels like legs that haven't been shaved in a day or too. Very funny. :p
