I am so glad I found this board. I am going Wed for a transvagina ultrasound due to post menopausal bleeding and a thick uterus. I have been wondering what it all can mean and reading these posts have helped me to know what questions to ask the Doctor when I see him.

The test was okay, but hurt some. My primary called and said it looks okay, but I should still see the Ob/Gyn. Guess I'll wait until the 14th and see what he says. Primary thinks going into menopause early might have something to do with it. I'm 50 and postmen. Nice to know they didn't see something major though.

Now I am to wait another 2 weeks. The Dr was great though. Very caring and listening. He did a probe (kinda like a core sample of a tree). It hurt. He said it shouldn't of. He said there is a mass there and it shouldn't be. I am definitely menopausal. So we'll wait til 3/1 and see what he found out. He said it wasn't a tumor or cancer, but what else can it be?
