the radiologist that read my mamo has recommended a biopsy of calcifications found on a routine mamo. He feels that they are nothing and not to worry but would rather biopsy them than wait. I am 46 with no family history. Is this rushing things? Should i just get it done or consult with another doc.

What does your own doctor say? Is he (she) in agreement? I would definately check with your own doctor. I would imagine the radiologist is probably just being very cautious. It is most likley nothing to worry about? What kind of biopsy are you having? I am 46 as well and had one last year for similar reasons.
