View Full Version : Hearing Bad - No Smell - Ear drainage - HELP!

This problem has existed for years. For a while, treated it with decongestants, little or no help. Then periods of prednisone, initially great, but then came back again in a few weeks. Have had eardrums pierced and get drainage of yellow-green fluid into outer ear canal when stoppage occurs. After meds, and ear opens up, drainage stops and hearing returns. Problem is in both ears. No ENT has solved it, and I had a couple "throw the towel in" because they couldn't help me. One ENT did a weekly vacuuming of the ear to remove the fluid, and that was pretty successful, but weekly visits to the DOC....... Anybody have similar symptoms and possible solutions??

Hi

Wow...those are very pronounced and repetitive symptoms...going on for a long(years) time....with no satisfactory conclusion/answers

....sounds like the ENT crowd is striking out....perhaps...a Neur-OTO-logist...might help...
