I've been on effexor for 5 months now and my sex drive as been non existant. But slowly its seems like my desire for sex is coming back a bit (but not as i used to be..lol). My mood is better now! Even though i'm on medication can i still go out there an try to pick up girls? Like if i get one will she be turned off that i'm on A D's ? any reply will greatly be appreciated!

You don't have to tell them that you are on medication it can scare them away.

Well I wouldn't think you would want to tell them right away that you are on AD's. I know the only people in my life that know are my husband and my parents. I don't plan on telling anyone else I'll just let them think I naturally have a sparkling personality....lol. But seriously I think a lot of people are taking them these days and there is not as big of a stigma attached to it as there used to be but still you would want to wait until you knew someone a little better and not be telling them right away. When you do tell the girl if she has a problem with it then she was not the girl for you anyway.

So it is possible for someone to get turned off if they hear you are taking AD's. I used to think that myself about others when I heard they were taking them. That was based on my lack of understanding and immaturity at the time. I now take them myself.
