Hi everyone, I have read a few posts on this board and have noticed a good few similarities to my symptoms and it is nice to know I am not on my own as doctors and specialists really haven't been any help, I thought I would post my own topic and try to explain everything once and for all as everytime I see someone I just get sidetracked and told there is not alot can be done. O.k here goes, I am 25 years old and apart from the dizziness I would say I am fairly healthy, although I have recently started jogging because I don't think I have the best circulation(cold hands and feet etc), anyway, it started just over two years ago when I flew over to spain, the day after we arrived I started to feel dizzy, not spinning like vertigo, more like standing on a boat, thats about the best I can describe it. At first I just thought I was tired or dehydrated, anyway it did not subside so I went to a doctor over there who said it was a sort of vertigo, either from ear wax or poor blood flow around the ear. He syringed my ears and gave me some medication for the blood flow, I came home and after 2-3 weeks I felt o.k. When I think back to this time I had a few dizzy periods but put it down to medication I was taking for anxiety after the loss of a good friend in very tragic circumstances. Anyway a few months later the same thing happened after travelling on a boat, again the dizziness lasted 2-3 weeks and I took the advice of the doctor in Spain and went to get my ears syringed, since I was about 18 I have needed my right ear syringing at least once a year or more. Same thing happened on a coach and lasted a few weeks but about 3 months ago I went on a train and the dizziness has remained. I had my ears syringed before I travelled so I now know it is not that which is the problem. It has come to my attention that when I swallow my right ear crackles, when I humm it feels a little stuffy so I am pretty sure it's an ear thing. I get slight headaches over the right side but only very mild, however I get quite alot of pain behind the right ear and down the neck, as i said I get a build up of wax quite often and the right ear is very painful in cold weather. I got over the anxiety I mentioned o.k but this is causing a great deal of upset. It does feel like there maybe fluid in there but my hearing test was fine so the E.N.T said there was nothing she could do. It sounds like you guys know more than the doctors I have seen, or at least you seem to care which means alot so I thought I would try to explain things. Could it be fluid or possibly these crystal things I have heard about. I don't have any ringing in the ears and rarely ever feel sickly with the dizziness, it's just a horrible feeling that nobody seems to understand, please please help me.
