Hey everyone :) So I started taking Alesse a little less than a month ago. Im on a 28 day pack and I just finished taking my pink pills. So all I have is a week of placebos to go. I know that the placebos are for when you get your period, but when exactly should I expect my period!? Just anytime within that week?

My other question is about Alesse and acne. I was just wondering if Alesse was one of the types of birth control that help it. My face isnt bad, but it could be better! So I was just wondering what to expect.

OH! And I have another one for you hahaa. Sorry! But every morning from 7-8 I take my birth control. Thats not bad right? I know your supposed to take it at the same time everyday, so an hour apart sometimes isnt too bad right? Plus, on the weekends sometimes I'll end up taking it around 8:30. Ahh! I just want to be as safe as possible and not worry about it too much.

My friend worked at a pharmacy and she told me that as long as it's within 3 hours, you're fine. However, always try to keep it the same time- I set my cell phone alarm for that.

I usually get my period during the second or third inactive pills.

Kay thanks! The last thing I want is to get PREGNANT! Although Ill always use a condom anyways. So hopefully all will be well!! Im just trying to be as safe as possible!! hahaha. And the cell phone trick is actually a really smart idea!! I might do that!

Im on the pill and after i have finished taking my active pills (pink pills) i usually start my period around 3days later. so dont worry if your a bit later than you should be starting your period.

What day do you start your active pack? I am on Alesse, which I start taking on sunday, I always get my period wednesday night. Which I guess is 4 days in.

I start on Wednesday, and I am also on Alesse. I ended up getting it the second day I was on my placebo pills. So should I be expecting it next month to come on the same day? Or is it still just going to around 2-4 days or something for me?

Every woman is different, and any time during the placebos is normal.

Generally, after a few months, it will come the same day each month. Some women are so regular that they can predict down to the time of day when they will start.

That said, it is also entirely possible that once in a while you may start a day earlier or later then "normal", and that is totally fine.

I was on Alesse at one point and I always started on Tuesday between 2-4 PM. Now that's regular!

I've been on Alesse for three months and still haven't had a period. Even during the placebo pills...I don't even have spotting.
