View Full Version : A new thing to drive me nuts!

DS found a new thing the last little while to drive his mom crazy with. He keeps waking up in the middle of the night where previously he slept through most of the time. That's not the thing that's driving me nuts though. At first he'd just talk in his crib. A few squeals and hoots and he'd put himself back to sleep. He got this new thing lately. He sticks his legs up as high as he can get them and brings them crashing down onto the mattress. Actually it's the same thing he does in the bathtub. He's only 4 1/2 months old but man can he splash! lol He scared me to death last night in the crib! All I could hear for about a half hour or more was thump, thump, thump. I had to get up to see what he was doing. It was impossible to get back to sleep because it was extremely loud. Anyone else babies get any new cute yet maddening tricks? I hope he forgets that one fast. :)

Celestine,

my DS does the same thing, and it also started at 4mo, but I have to tell you, he is now 6mo and is still doing it. I have to hold his legs very firmly when I change his poopy diaper, b/c on couple unfortunate occasions he slammed his feed into the poop.

DS absolutely loves to eat glossy magazines, I just can't read anything in front of him, he shakes from excitment. I try to read the stories to him, but he will have none of that, he just wants to RIP IT and then EAT IT.

DS used to sleep pretty well at night, lately he wakes up and wants to talk my ear off! I try to roll over and go back to sleep hoping he'll stop, but it just gets louder and turns to cries if I don't talk back!

Roxyfoxy, that's soo funny, if I have my DS in bed w/ me, and turn my back to him, he pulls my hair.

Hi,

My dd used to do this when she was 3 months, we then transferred her to her cot bed and she continued to do so for a short time and then stopped:) .

That's adorable and amusing. My DBF's little boy is the same age, and he does the same thing. He also likes to grab his blankets and try to disco with them, it's the funniest thing to see.

DS loves to do the same thing at night. He is sleeping a porter crib in our room and he wiggles until his feet touch the end and kicks it. The sound gets on my last nerve. And he loves to talk too.

yes my ds 4mths splashes like crazy in the bath too. He loves to kick.

and maddening things. Wow where to begin heh
He hardly sleeps at night at all now. He gets set in routines and won't break them. I'm a walking zombie. I got too used to him being a good baby and sleeping SOME at night and now this.

Thant's funny...my DD does the same thing and she is going to be one on the 16th...we have a monitor in her room...you talk about loud...she sounds like she's breaking up the furniture in there...I hear boom, boom, boom...she too talks to herself and squeals...then falls back to sleep...they really do entertain themselves.
