View Full Version : Help on Rhinoplasty (nose job)

Hi i recently had a rhinolplasty operation to bring the bone on the side of my nose closer, (the upper lateral cartilage).
The surgeon made incisions inside my nose then cut the tissue to get to the side bone, then he broke the bone and brought it closer.
After the operation i noticed a vein at the side of my nose which i didnt feel previously.
This vein feels fat and hard and i can feel the hard vein where my tear ducts are all the way down on the side of my nose.
When i talk i can feel it vibrate and it feels uncomfortable. Also because the vein is hard and bulging out it doesnt look natural like the other side of my nose and tear duct does.

I dont understand why this is so, is there blood and water collected up in this vein which is why the vein has become full and therefore hard.
Will the vein on the side of my nose go back to normal like it was before the rhinoplasty (side), will the blood and water dissolve ?

Can you please explain this to me because i did the operation to make things better and make me feel happy. Now i feel that maybe i shouldnt have done this because of bulging of the vein at the side of my nose.

Thanks Janice Porter

Firstly if that is your real name I suggest that you never post it on the internet, and second have you talked to your doc about the issue with the vein? He/She would be the best person to answer your questions.

Good Luck
