I have been with the same sex partner for 5 years.

Since Nov 20 2005 I have been in the emergency room 3 times with a severe allergic reaction. I had hives everywhere and my eyes and mouth were swollen. The doctors in the ER said it must be something that I ate or something new that I was exposed to. I haven't changed my lifestyle at all, so its a mystery for now.

When I started getting the reaction, my esophagus was making it to where it was hard to swallow and I also had bad heartburn. Also, as soon as I got my first reaction my throat swelled up and I started coughing up greenish mucus. -- I would also like to mention that for the last 10 years I have been treated off and on for post nasal drip. And during these allergic reactions my post nasal drip has been acting up.

And I would like to note one more thing before I dive into the question about a possible STD.

About 3 years ago I started to get a pain in my left testicle. I had an ultrasound at Kaiser and it came up negative for a tumor. That was pretty much it and I tried to forget about it. Well a year later it was still bothering me and I noticed a little lump on the upper part of my left testicle and thats where the pain was coming from. Also, my right testicle was much smaller in size ... more so than usual. I got it looked at again and had another ultrasound. This time my doctor said there was no tumor, but it looked like I had an infection. He prescribed to me antibiotics and scheduled me for a follow up ultrasound to see if things had improved.

I was never able to have my follow up appointment because I had been laid off from my job and lost my benefits. I had gone in for my appointment but they would not let me be seen. At that time I the pain in my testicle had subsided so I didn't think much of it.

Well in the last 2 months my testicle started to hurt again and today when I woke up from sleeping, I noticed a Yellow / Green discharge out of my penis.

I was having a nice dream and in the dream I was erect and I thought I had ejaculated. When I awoke I was erect, but I didn't see any evidence that I had ejaculated and I tried to squeeze something out to see. And thats when a little discharge appeared. It was a yellowish / greenish color.

This was the first time something like this has happened, and it has yet to happen again today.

I know it could be an STD of some sort. But is there a chance that this discharge could be from my testicle problem or the other problems I'm having?

I also noticed that for the last few days I have had a leaky penis. Every so often the tip is a little wet. This has also never happened to me before.

Today I applied for MEDICAL so I can get seen ASAP and tomorrow I have an appointment with a social worker. I want to get this and all my other health problems taken care of ASAP, but unfortunately I have no insurance and no income to speak of until I land another job.

Thanks for reading.

After doing some research IMO it would appear that I might have chlamydia.

The doctor that I have already seen said that I had an infection in my left testicle. Chlamydia causes the testicle(s) to painfully swell up. Plus chlamydia can cause penile discharge.

Speaking of discharge, when I awoke I tried to see if I could squeeze anything out again, and I did. For all I know if I had been trying this I probably would have had a discharge for as long as my testicle was hurting me. But I had no idea. At first I thought it was a tumor, and then after that the doctor I saw at the time said nothing about any infection or STD. It wasn't until I saw a second doctor that he said it appears I had an infection which he said is very common in males. Never once did he say anything about STD. Maybe I am naive, but if I had any idea about an STD, I would have panic and really taken care of this at all costs.

I would love to have no symptoms of an STD, but if I do have one, I hope it is chlamydia because it appears to be easy to treat and will eventually leave the body.

As for the hives and my allergic reactions, who knows. I wonder if that has anything to do with my testicle? I hope to find out, maybe as soon as tonight! I hope.

I would hesitate to suggest STD (since you and your partner have been together for 5 yrs and been monogamous, right?) it couldn't possibly be an STD.

So, given the problems you've been having (pain and all in the testicle) you might want to see a urologist. It could epidimitis, prostatis, or a simple UTI.
