Does anyone know what vitamins or supplements are used to help ease OCD symptoms? I have heard B vitamins and calcium are good, but am wondering what else is heloful or important to take.
Also what books do you guys reccomend I read to help in my coping with OCD? I don't want a depressing book that will just go ver the symptoms I alrewady know I have, but one that will outline some solutions for me.....

High potassium foods, B complex (sublingual), and a good multivitamin-without iron. Keep your body well hydrated with water. Rid your diet of Sugary, junk and white breads. I do think bio-behavioral intervention would also very important!! If you go into a vitamin shoppe they sell these nutritional suppliment books-worth a purchase. Always tell your doctor what you are taking!!Good luck!

Mochi,
In addition to what was said...Two eggs every morning and a high protein diet. Eggs and high protein will drastically curb your desire for sweets and sugar PLUS provide you with b-vitamins and other important nutrients.

I dont mean to sound negative but if you have moderate to Severe OCD the only thing that will really help is SSRI's or Behavoral therapy or BOTH.
The Natural stuff may work for minor OCD but anything passed that I would say the odds are slim for majority of people

i see your point, but it may be helpful to supplemtent your body and brain with what it is lacking, or needs extra of.. It is proven that people with OCD usually have brains lacking overwhelmingly, B vitamins and other nutrients.
Honestly, I think OCD is very closely tieed with nutrion, it may not cure it, but it can help you and you rbody handle it, myabe even as a supplement ot drugs and therapy.
It has also been provben that most people with menatkl disrders have also blodd sugar imabalances....
so, don't just toss it out bexasue it's natural, iit actaully may be very useful,
and i have had NO luck with meds....

Iron wrecks the vitamin and clashes with absorption. It should NOT be in your multivitamin. Unless your doctor tells you you need iron, you do not need to suppliment it. It is amazing that these companies put it in the vitamin to begin with.
