Hi All

Well I thought I would post some recent positive developments about my battle with Monsieur Labrynthitis.

For about a week or so now I have seen a great lessening of symptoms and on Monday felt about 99.5%, the best I have felt in 6 months.i wasnt so good the next day, but I wasnt bothered as this is surely a good sign that this may be on its way out.I have even had a cold over the weekend and my dizziness did not get worse as it had before.I am still not completly cured and dont want to jinx myself as I am sure I shall endue a few more bad periods before I kick it.Just thought this would give you guys a bit of a positive boost. There is light at the end of the tunnel and life after labrynthitis.

I will have had this 6 months on feb 4.Is this a fast recovery.I hope it will be gone in 12 months fully!!

Deus

Wonderful news for you! I've heard of a few beating this in 6 months and never having symptoms again with it....you are very fortunate and should feel very happy. I'm crossing my fingers that this totally ends for you.

By the way, a little over a year into this for me and noticed my last cold not effecting my ears too much so surely that is a good sign that it is winding down....I hope so for both of us.

Glad your feeling so good....enjoy it. - Gloria

i'm hoping this is the case for me as i've been battling this and anxiety since october...no end in sight as for MY symptom of dizziness yet...that's the only symptom i have! did your illness cause anxiety? are you on any meds for either conditions?

is this the case with you? Only symptom?

very happy for you! can't wait for my life to come back as well!

Deus,

It does sound promising - try not to totally overdo it as that could cause a setback (it's important to keep pushing mind)...

With labs/vn about 60% recover within 6 weeks, for the rest it can take a lot longer (and some need vrt) - nobody know why some take longer than others - I suspect it has a lot to do with the type of damage caused (location, quality, quantity),and the brains ability to adapt along plus other interfering factors... but it sounds like you're on your way...
