About 6 weeks ago I noticed that my left pinky fingernail has a thin line down it. It appears to actually be in the nail (not under) and it is NOT growing out with the cuticle. I am very fair skinned and the color of the line is almost like my skin color of my fingers (pinkish). Does anyone know what this could be? Thanks!

It sounds like it is just one of the rails on the nail bed showing through the nail plate. If one of the rails enlarges, it appears as a pinkish line from the cuticle to the free edge. Try using a good quality nail and cuticle oil to keep the nail plate hydrated.
