ok i dont want to start my period and ive heard if you skip the plasebo pills and start taking the active pills that it works...however this is my first pack of the pills and my first time using any form of birthcontrol...so if anyone could please help witht this i would be so greatful...thanks :wave:

Are you on a triphasic or monophasic brand?? If you are on a triphasic, generally it doesn't work as well (probably will still have withdrawal bleeding). But, if you are on a monophasic, start a new pack at the beginning of week 4 (placebo week), you will probably be successful in skipping your period. I would recommend you wait until your body gets adjusted to being on the pill first, before trying this, sometimes it takes a few months. Also if you get your pills at a regular pharmacy using insurance, they(the insurance company) generally doesn't let you refill your prescription 7 days early.

I have been on the pill nearly two years, and if i dont want a period, i carry on taking active pills instead of having a 7day break.It works and i dont have a period. But if its your first pack i would just wait until you have your period until your body gets into the routine. leave it a while, say about a month or so.
