I've had a daily headache for 3-4 years, with only 2 times that I was without a headache, once for 1 week and the other time for 3 weeks. Boy it was nice to be free of them. Though it makes it worse when they come back. Anyway, I've been through several kinds of meds. and NO OTC meds. I've heard to many horror stories. Anyway, I've tried differing my sleep pattern and sticking to it, tried taking breaks from several foods that are tipical triggers. I've stopped playing clarinet because I thought the pressure might be behind the headaches. Cut my hair short-I had long hair. Left it down, put it up. None of these having any real affects. Any ideas? Please let me know. Oh, I go to the Neuro. on a week from Monday. Thanks.

Sometimes the weather can trigger a migraine. Keep a migraine/headache diary. Take it with you to your doctors appointment.

At the drs office, talk about your migraine/headache in graphic detail just like you did here. Don't leave nothing out.
If you have to, take notes with you. :D

Ask the doctor a lot of questions. Make the doctor talk to you in laymens terms.

Whatever meds the doctor prescribes pump the doc with questions on ALL THE SIDE EFFECTS. Do not under any circumstances take the docs word for it either.
Always follow-up by doing your own research.
Go to the library and/or research online.

Good luck!
