While I was changing my five month old son's diaper, it was a "blow out" by the way, he reached down and stuck his finger in the poo. Before I had the chance to wipe off his finger he stuck it in his mouth. Should I worry about this? Probably not, right?

Wait until he's older and quietly takes off his diaper (while you think he's napping) and gives himself a facial, manicure and pedicure as well as adding a new designer touch to his crib, bedding and walls.
I wouldn't worry either.

Ahhh yes. Is this not one of the more gross hazings into parenthood? DH and I found our son doing this not once, but twice before he was potty-trained. Yuck.
...but I wouldn't worry. It's gross but probably will not damage him.

Gross, but very normal, unfortunately!!
At least you will have something to hold over him when he's a teenager :D

It is extremely gross to you but means nothing to him. And like AllTheLarsons said wait until they take their diaper off and smear it all over. My mom had one of the kids she watches take there diaper off and smear all over the sides of a portscrib. It was so imbedded in the mesh sides, she had to take it outside and hose it off. And with that one, the walls in the room were also painted. Makes you want to hurl but kids will be kids.

OMG! I never thought about one of my kids doing that. I am so glad it hasn't happened. I thought it was bad enough when they pooped in the tub. Here's crossing my fingers that all diapers stay on!!
