Alright heres the scenario: Doc started me on Celexa, and after 2 months I noticed the whole 'lack of orgasm' thing. The doctor then placed me on 150mg wellbutrin sr, twice daily. I almost immediatly noticed a huge increase in sexual desire, and I could finally orgasm again. After maybe 6 months of being on wellbutrin, I moved to a different state and consequently dropped the prescription. Its been about 8 months since I stopped taking the medication. I recently started taking wellbutrin again (about 4 weeks ago) but because I have a different doctor now, she started me off w/ 100 mg twice daily. This time taking the med, I havent noticed the results nearly as fast as I did before. In fact I have barely noticed any improvement in the motivation/ or mode side of things, let alone sexual. Could the fact that I am only on 100mg have this much of an effect on me, and why is it taking longer to notice the results than last time?
thanks in advance...

Hi....I don't know for sure but I do think you need that extra 50mgs in your body to fully have the effect you need. I know when I started taking paxil I noticed a change in myself right away but I'm on effexor now and it has took a long time before I noticed anything. Sorry I couldn't be of more help but if you don't start feeling better soon I would talk with your doctor and tell her about the other doctor putting you on 150 and it helping you.

You may need that extra 100mg/day. That is a rather large difference in the dose. So talk to your doctor and ask her to increase your daily dose back to 300mg/day.

Sorry I didn't see where you were taking the amounts twice a day so my first post doesn't make much sense when I mentioned the extra 50mg but I hope you know what I mean......sorry http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
