I have been taking the pill for nearly 2years. im 16 and in a good relationship. Recently i forgot to take my pill around the usual time, and i had sex, we didnt use any other forms of protection i took the pill the next day as soon as i remembered. I dont know if i was late having my period,as i didnt have one, i carried on taking the pills instead of having a 7day break as i didnt want my period that week. Plz help

If you only missed one pill then the chances are you will be OK. The pill is still pretty effective. but, there is still a small chance. id wait to see if you get your period as normal this month and if not, you can always do a pregnancy test to make sure! its worrying, i know! try not to stress too much tho, my guess is you will be OK. hope this helps!

You should be okay -- check your pill's information. Which one are you on? For most, one missed pill does not call for back-up contraception. If you are worried, you can take a pregnancy test, but I really don't think you need to worry. :)
Here comes debbie downer.. ME.. ;)
I have to add in here that BC pills are not 100 % effective and you can get pregnant on them even if you take them religiously. I have 3 times on 3 different pills. Some folks just have that kind of luck.. ;) Im 35 nearly 36 and just had a baby that I got pregnant with while taking ortho tri cyclen...
I dont want to freak you out or make you worry needlessly, but it DOES happen and at 16 that'd be a hard lesson to learn. The only 100% effective BC is abstinance or hysterectomy.... somethng I didnt know when I got pregnant with my first. ;)
.. Ok, Im done being the downer.. carry on. :jester:

You make a good point -- birth control taken perfectly is only 99.9% effective, and when pills are missed that efficiency drops to 92-95%. Fairly high but not 100%.
Condoms and the pill are a good combo, especially if pregnancy would be devestating, and the pill isn't being taken perfectly.
That said, chances are that the o.p is fine, but it is always good to remember that nothing is 100%. :)
