Hey all
I don't know if any of you have read the sonoma diet book, but I just got it and it has some really good, no nonsense info in it about what exactly good and bad fats and carbs are. It seems be alot like South beach, but not as restrictive. And the daily menus seen like they are something I could actually follow.

Just wanted to pass on some good info :)

Why not just get it at the library? That way if you don't like it you didn't waste any money. That is what I did.

I bought the book at Wal-mart for a little over $17. I really like the book, because its easy to understand, and it tells you the truth: stop eating refined sugars. No more bad fats. Things that made us fat. I find that the portions of the plates are simple to understand, but then I get confused on other things. What if you have a wrap? That has meat, veggies and grains all combined. Would that be considered the 30% protein 20% grains and 50% vegetables or what? Should I eat more veggies with it, or is that too much? If you eat the wrap, can you not have grains for dinner? AHHHH! That is all I am confused on. i'm sure once it's expained to me if I can eat more or not i'll be okay.

My advice: Buy the book. Tons of really good recipes, and its a good reference for when you want to try a new meal or something.
