I am 28 and I used to be on BCP and quit taking it for about 5 years, I recently decided to start taking them again and my dr prescribed Yasmin. I THINK i am having side effects to it, on my 2nd week of pills i was experiencing A LOT of Nausea and loss of appetite ( the loss of appetite has extended for this third week as well) and this week I am extremely weepy, small things are making me cry and I feel so down,\. ( i guess i should mention i never really had PMS),,, my question is has anyone else felt like this on yasmin? I am using BCP to regulate my period so any bc i use it will have to be to have a period not prevent it.... any thoughts???

I've been on Yasmin for several years now after having nightmarish reactions to other pills. (ex. throwing up for as long as I took the pill, causing a weight loss of 30+ lbs, bleeding for a month straight, becoming anemic, that is just a few)

The moodiness and and weepiness appears to be common as your body adjusts to the hormones. Talk to your doctor if you feel very uncomfortable, but usually it goes away after 2-3 months. It's really a great pill I'm so greatful to my doctor for telling me to stick it out! Good luck with everything and keep us updated.

Yasmin made me horribly depressed and took my sex drive away - it was the worst pill I have ever been on in my life. Once I went off it, I felt like my old self within days.

I justed stopped yasmin after my 5th or so pack because my HAIR has been falling out like crazy!!!!!!!!!! It looks like I am balding in the front of my scalp...I am only 25. This is very hard to deal with, I just started the orthocyclen I was on before the Yasmin and I pray that my hair fills in. i only read one other post that mentioned the hair thing...Birth control pills are scary!!! The ironic thing is that my doctor gaurenteed me my fertility if i stay on the pill until i want to concieve b/c BCP keeps my ovarian cycts at bay. I have been on them for way to long and I feel like I am just not my self!!!
