I posted this in the pregancy section, but its applicable here too: I had a baby 9 weeks ago, got the depo shot the day after I had her, have been bleeding solid for 9 weeks.. Im guessing its teh depo as i dont have the symptoms of retained placenta, sepsis and etc. My husband is getting a vasectomy but I wanted to be on a BC pill to help out my all over the place periods. Ive gotten pregnant 3 times on BC pills.. so I wont be taking it for contraception. ;)
Here's my question.. whats your experiences with the popular BC pills as far as regulating or lightening periods, ceasing periods ( dont want any more kids obviously) , breast growth, acne, etc.. I want to have an idea what to ask for when I go back in to the doc.
Thanks!

How did you do/feel on the 3 brands of pills you took in the past? That's the best indication of how you'll do on the pill now. What works for someone else may wreck havoc on you. You just have to find what works best for you. Perhaps you just ought to ask the doctor what s/he recommends first, then adjusting/changing if needed.

I was on the depo for 6 months and would not recommend going on it. I bled for 2 months straight on it. Just thought I would warn you before you get your next shot.

On depo I bled for hte first six months, and have had no periods since (its been about two years). Depo is WONDERFUL and i continue to use it mainly for the 'no period' side effect.
