Hi everybody! Hope you are all getting ready for a good weekend! Just wanted to follow up on a post I did a couple of weeks ago regarding this treatment for lower back/hip pain I have had for months. Finally went to a pain specialist, who thought I could benefit from these injections. He had me run it by my Neurologist first just to be sure it was safe, and I got an OK. Had my first treatment Tuesday, and other than being pretty sore the next day, I do feel some relief. I have two more injections (spaced two weeks apart). Supposed to help with sciatica too! Basically, the doc injected a combo high dose anti-inflammatory steroid and a numbing medication like novacaine into my bulging disk at the spot where it presses on my nerve. I was really nervous about it, but it wasn't too bad. Of course, we MSers are used to nasty tests and poking  To all of you who responded to my initial post with questions about this procedure - my thanks again for being there for me! My good wishes to all - Sharon Grace
