Right now at this very moment I'm on the ring, have been for 5 months. I'm getting off of it because it has lowered my sex drive and when I do have sex I can get off once but afer that one time I dry up and it's painful to continue, everytime. Because of this in two days I will never use it again. But okay when I do have sex it feels like I'm recieving an indian burn where it sits on my insides, even when I take it out, it feels like an open wound and is obviously painful when we're going at it. Which obviously means I don't have sex very much. I was curious if anyone else has had these problems and after stopping the ring if it was no longer painful to be sexual. And if you remember, how long it took for your body to heal. Thanks to whom ever writes back.

Well, my sex drive more or less disappeared on Nuvaring, and I had vaginal dryness which made sex less pleasant. After 18 months on nuvaring, I stopped using it 2 or 3 months ago... Sex drive is back with a vengeance (after a month). Vaginal dryness is already a lot better, although not optimal yet.

When I was using nuva ring I began to experience vaginal dryness after a couple months. Sex did burn and I was getting yeast infections every other month. After I stopped using it I tried something else for a month and it caused weight gain so I stopped BC all together. So to answer your question it took about 6 months for the vaginal dryness to go away and now I am back to the way I was before and it has stayed that way. I also wanted to mention I had stomach problems too which went away after I discontinued the ring.

For me my normal time between periods, 30-35 days...
