I just switched pills for the third time, this time from Seasonale to Yasmin, to try to stop recurring yeast infections that started about six weeks after I went back on BCPs. Since August I've had six YIs, twice confirmed by exam, and each time symptons stopped with Diflucan Rx. Because I previously had only one YI ever, it seems obvious the BCPs are doing it, but I never really have the discharge I read about everywhere. I only seem to get the inflammation and itching. Is it possible to have YI with little or no "cottage cheese" discharge?

This happened to me while using nuva ring. I only had a discharge once and the other 3 times nothing. The ring is what started my problems. So yes it is possible to get one without a discharge. My theory with that is you may only have it on the outside and no infection on the inside therefor no discharge. Just my theory.

I've only had one YI over 20 years ago and I don't remember any discharge.
You may want to go to the health food store and buy a probitic supplement like Lactobacillus acidophilus to restore the natural bacteria in your body that something is messing with...BCP or something else. Did you recently take a dose of antibiotic? That will do it!

2 years ago, I had a yeast infection that would not go away.....I used all sorts of OTC creams and what not. I had no discharge as well. I was on the patch, but YI can be caused by stress as well ( keep that in mind), which I was extremly stressed out at that time! The best solotion that helped me was getting PLAIN yogurt ( no sweets, no fruit) and actually using it down there for a few days until it clearrd up. Not only did it help, it felt really good to ease the burning. All those OTC medications and presriptions don't have the main thing that causes the out of balance down there and its the yeast! Yogurt has Lactobacillus acidophilus ( that's why it is good to eat it!) So Monistat and all that is just giving loads of money to those companies ....God....what a misserable few months that was! I hopr this helps...It seems crazy to use food...but It work wonders!! Remember PLAIN, nothing in it.

my first few times having infections I had little to no discharge as well. In fact, the only reason I knew I had one is because when I went for my annual exam, they said they found I had a YI. Unfortunately now I suffer with them chronically because of the bcp's as well.. the depo shot was the only thing that didn't give me one, but my acne got so bad on it that I am now on the patch. I use OTC meds sometimes and other times I use the Diflucan to cure it. If it's mild I use acdiopholus pills and insert one a day for a few days.. that seems to help clear it up (more than taking it by mouth)
