I am planning on having rhinoplasty in June. I have read on these boards, that it can take up to a year for swelling to go down. Is that true? Will I look odd for a year? I'm a teacher, so I have the summer to relax, but don't want to be walking around with a swollen nose for a year. Also, has anyone heard of Dr. Prescott in Walnut Creek?

I didn,t realize it took up to a yar for your true outcome of your surgery, I found it out the hard way, After a year I started noticing different little bumps on the left side of my nose and then eventually a pointed bone on the tip They said the only way they could fix the tip was to remove cartiledge from the back of my ear and use it to shape a new tip for my nose of course with absolutely no gaurantees!
Can you believe I had my Rhinoplasty by one of the top Plastic Surgeons?
You really are taking your chances with any Plastic Surgery, Its left me very Paranoid to be around people

my friend had one and it turned BEAUTIFULLYshe had it done a few years ago and told so few people and changed her hairdo and all people said was"something looks differentyou look great!"she is hispanic/af american guess that may have helped a lot since her skin healed fast.

Debora E., who did you go to the first time and did you already do the revision? The same thing happened to me, I was told that the surgeon who did mine, specialized in noses. But my results came out horribly! I have the same thing where I had little bumps showing on my left side due to the fact that he took out way too much cartilage, but that is just one of the problems he has left me with. Now I am researching revision specialists in hopes to fix the damage that my surgeon Dr. Eli Milch has left me with.

Hi HM74, Thanks for your E-Mail
I have had my nose redone 3 times so far, I was told if they removed the bumps my left side of my nose would cave-in
This has made me so depressed, my nose wasn,t that bad to begin with, now I,m stuck with this piece of crap which has made me really self consious
Would you please let me know how you do finding someone to fix yours?
I look forward to hearing from you
