I am having some female issues...
Toward the bottom of the entrance of the vagina I have white skin (not raised) but it is around both sides of the entrance. I have had it as long as I can remember. Sometimes when my fiance and I are having sex I feel it tear and when I take a look there is a small tear and it bleed a little. It usually heals by itself in a few days. Is this white skin normal, I get an annual check up and my doctor has never said anything about it. Should I be worried about cancer....cause the stuff I read says that cancer starts as white patches. Please help me..
Thanks L

There's a condition called Lichen Sclerosis that can cause white skin in your vulva. It can be diagnosed by biopsy. Do you have burning or itching? Those are 2 other symptoms it can cause. I have it and never had an itching problem, but more of a burn. I saw a Dermatologist recently who treats vulvar dermatoses who was able to diagnosis it immediately. To put your mind at ease, you could go to a specialist. Good luck to you.
