I'm a 30 year old female ex-smoker (quit 7 years ago). I weigh 181 pounds.
My cholesterol 3 months ago was:
Total: 258
Triglycerides: 216
HDL: 52
LDL: 163
Now they are:
Total: 236
Triglycerides: 187
HDL: 59
LDL: 140
What can I do to make these numbers better? I currently do the Weight Watchers program and I have hypothyroidism. We are still trying to tweak my meds to get my thyroid working properly.
Thanks.

(by the way, uncontrolled thyroid problems can cause high cholesterol, so getting your thyroid meds sorted out should help)

Getting weight down seems to be one of the best ways to deal with blood lipid problems.
