Hi, This is a post about my wife, she has been suffering from headaches constantly for the last month at least and have got worse over the last 7-10 days to the point where she can hardly get up as the pain is so severe, she has been sleeping alot lately aswell, she went to the docs and got prescribed Dihydrocodeine 30mg x6 daily, Diazepam 5mg x2 daily also Diclofenac 50mg x3 daily, these pills have no affect on shifting the headache or neck pain, the only affect they have on her is to make her feel like a zombie, Paracatmol and ibuprofen also have no affect on shifting the headache or neck pain, she went back to the doctors and was told just keep taking the pills and come back in a week if no better, she also has a lump on her neck and a few at the base of her skull at her hair line to which the doctors have not bothered about or gave any indication to what maybe casuing them to be there, she is now getting very upset and feels very stupid as to be affected this much by what the doctors are just dismissing as a headache. She also has lost her appetite and feels sick alot.

Anyone out there suffering the same or have any ideas what this may be.
Please let me know as its affecting us all.

Thanks
Graham

Why don't you just take your wife to another doctor and/or get a 2nd opinion?

What kind of doctor is your wife seeing? Possibility the doctor's speciality is not "lumps" (tumors). However, your wife should have been tested for same. Could be just a huge blood clot.

It is really hard to find a good doctor. You need to keep searching. Have an MRI done. It will show what is going on.

Goodluck!

The lumps could be swollen lymph nodes. I have found them on my kids' necks before and almost freaked out. The pediatrician assured me they were lymph nodes and that they would go down - they did.
