View Full Version : Missed 2 pills

Ok, so, sometime within the last week I had a couple really bad days and completely forgot to take my pills 2 nights in a row. On the third day I remembered early on in the day and took both. That night, I took my pill for that day at 10:00, then time I usually take my pills.

On Sunday night I got really nauseous and just felt sick to my stomach in general. I live in a dorm room and my roommate had just come down with something recently so I assumed I had simply caught something from her. The next day I woke up feeling the same way, but felt progressively better later on during the day, especially after eating a meal. By last night, I felt fine.

This morning, I woke up feeling nauseous again. I know that it doesn't feel like your usual flu virus, something is different. My doctor recently switched me over from one birth control brand to another because my original birth control went up to $35 and I could get the new one for $5. I'm on the 2nd week of taking these new pills. I wasn't sure if my upset stomach was caused by my new birth control so I looked it up online and found out that morning sickness is often a symptom of birth control. However, it's also a symptom of pregnancy in the first week. I also found out that after skipping the pill twice, you're supposed to take the two you missed the day you remember, and then two the next day and continue on as usual. My boyfriend and I have not had vaginal sex since the day before I missed the first pill (I think that was the day), but I believe even that time he pulled out.

I know there's always a chance you can get pregnant with birth control...but did I make a fatal mistake here?? I'm getting increasingly worried and am not sure what to do about the situation, but know I need to get it sorted out quickly. Any quick response would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks a lot,
Kelli

I would give the doctor a call, it's possible that you ovulated after intercourse with the sperm still active. Although it seems highly unlikely, but this is much too important for a peer support board.
