Just had a baby December 6th adn went on depo the day after I had her. Id had PPD with the other kids, but nothing severe. Thsi time it is worse than the other times so I discussed that and the fact Im STILL bleeding since giving birth. He says its the depo and for me to stick with it.. I cant take other BC as I had estrogen dependant cancer in the past.. so Im stuck with Depo and now adding Lexapro. Hubby is getting vasectomy for me.. but that itsnt until later in the year.
My question si how did you all do on the mixture of the two? What were your experiences with lexapro? I can read all of the info I want about it on the net, but Id rather hear from you all who have taken it before. ;)

Thanks in advance!

when i was on only lexapro, i was sleepy. very, very sleepy. it didnt matter how much i slept, i still wanted nothing more than to go back to bed and sleep. my ex-boyfriend has been on lexapro for a few years now and he says it makes him tired too, but he feels "normal" now. it really seems to settle down his bipolar disorder.

i've never been on depo, but i did start taking yasmin while on lexapro and i went all sorts of crazy. but yasmin has that effect on many women.

Did your doc ever suggest Welbutrin to be taken with it for the sleepiness and side effects?

no, nothing else was ever suggested. i didnt even want lexapro in the first place. my doctor prescribed it to me because she thought it would help with the stress that i have due to having a child with a disability. lexapro actually made the situation worse since i was so tired and had a hard time taking care of my child. after i stopped taking it, i was ill for a few days and then back to normal and i've been fine since.

my mother has been on almost every depression medication, and she swears that Zoloft is the best. but, every medication effects everybody differently.
