Say you want to "skip" your period for a bit... a week, or two... or etc....
If you just start a new pack instead of taking the placebo, are you still "protected" from pregency?
--Does this still work for progesteron only pill? Even if you've just started them? (they say to go thru two full months - to be on teh safe side, before engaging in unprotected sex.-- So if instead of taking the sugar pills I just start the next pack, am i adding days at which i might not be "covered", or am i just as safe?)

You should be protected

The mini pill (progesterone only) has no placebo week. It must be taken every single day to be effective, including during your periods. Since there is no placebo week to skip, I don't think its possible to skip periods on the mini pill
