Not what I was hoping for, but at least I have a result (although it was hellacious getting it, which is a whole 'nother story)...
It is a mass, not a cyst. They called it a soft tissue mass and the report say's it's not malignant, which doesn't mean anything to me. My mom's radiologist told her that her's wasn't malignant and to go back for a re-check in 6 months, and while he was telling her that, her cancer was already spreading to her lymph nodes. Sooo glad she got a second opinion.
After much hassel, I have an appointment for a consultation with a surgeon next Thursday, the 16th, at 9:00 a.m., during which time I will tell him that I want the whole mass (it is 1 centimeter by .7 centimeter) removed and sent for testing.
